St. Joseph's D.Ed. College is named after its patron Saint, located at Jayalakshmipuram, a land mark in its Vicinity and was founded by the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society in the year 1980 under auspices of Late Bishop of Mysore. The most Rev. Dr. Mathias Fernandes and the dynamism of the founder Secretary Rev. Fr. Dennis Noronha. The inception of Teachers Training Institute opened a new era of growth and development in the field of Education.
Our college motto being 'Love, Loyalty and Service' has a progressive outlook and willingness to change in the wake of global development. It is committed to provide quality education to promote intellectual, social and cultural vivacity among learners.
Our D.Ed. College has completed 27 successful years and has been Instrumental in enlightening the young minds by acquiring professional competencies as innovative and creative educators with commitment dedication.
At present the college is efficiently arranged under the patronage of his Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhapilly, Bishop of Mysore and the Zealous leadership of the Secretary and the correspondent Rev. Fr. Raphael Colaco.
